The short answer
SEO setup is the initial work that helps search engines find and understand your website. It gives your pages a foundation for appearing in relevant searches, without guaranteeing a position or a number of enquiries.
How it works
Useful content and technical groundwork
Clear service information matters first. A page should explain what you do, where you work and how someone can contact you. Helpful headings and links make the website easier for people to use as well as easier for a search engine to follow.
Technical setup can include page titles, descriptions and a sitemap that lists the pages to discover. Structured data can describe relevant information in a form search engines understand. Search Console can show whether Google is finding pages and highlight issues that need attention.
What setup cannot promise
Setup is different from ongoing SEO work. Adding useful project examples, keeping information current and responding to search performance take time after launch. Any ongoing service needs its own agreed scope. The current website offer explains which initial work is included.
A fast-loading site helps the experience, but a PageSpeed score is not a ranking promise. A Google Business Profile also serves a different purpose from the pages on your own website. For a local business, the two should give consistent information.
Use your brief to tell us the services and locations that matter to you, with accurate evidence of your work. We can then build the pages around real customer questions. Google's SEO Starter Guide explains these foundations in more detail.
